It’s been a long winter here in Canada, and all of us are anxious for Spring, sun-kisses on our shoulders and giving our toes some freedom in pretty sandals. But, it’s still pretty chilly on this April 13th Wednesday, so I wanted to show you how a basic black cardi (something we should all have in our closets as a wardrobe staple) allows me to start wearing Spring/Summer styles even before the appropriate temperatures officially invite me to do so.
This super cute floral dress by Point Zero Curvy is slightly more business than my usual style (reminiscent of my former corporate days), but still has a touch of sass with the cut-outs at the neckline.
It is lined and comes with the thin belt shown. The black side panels on this design are a nice touch adding definition to your shape.
My shear-bottom cardi is one of my favs, also from Point Zero Curvy, but now sold out. Joseph Ribkoff offers a similar one but it is kinda pricey as it is a designer brand. You could do any long black cardi to achieve the same look, and make your summer dresses a little more office-appropriate.
I like the contrast of the bright floral design against the black. Point Zero Curvy has some pretty neat – and inexpensive – designs for this season, so I hope you enjoy this brand as much as I do.
Special thanks to Lisa of Mustangsallytwo for snapping these pics!
